Shafts excavation is one of Rolzur Tunnelling's expertise, therefore Rolzur is the only company in Israel who owns a Raise-Boring Rig.

Shafts are mainly used for ventilation or to accommodate lifts as an access to and from the surface level

Using the Raise-Boring, shafts can even be excavated between two tunnels to enable a vertical connection between the tunnels  

Rolzur Tunnelling has excavated so far over 1.5 Kilometers of shafts.

The raise-Boring rig enables fast and accurate shaft excavating and at the same tine disposal of the excavated material using the gravitation via an existing tunnel at the bottom of the shaft.
